This is how she sits as of now. Hardtail on, new springer that I need to cut down bec it's too long, modified gas tank a lot to do in a little amount of time June will be here before I know it. Inspired by Indian Larry style bikes but with a real bobber flare. Hope it turns out like in my head

Love to build and ride is our family addiction. I've been ridding 2 wheels starting as a youngster at 10 years old. That family interest was there from my stepfather to older brother Tom. As we all grew older and raised kids of our own that has been passed along to my son Darren who has built several Cafe racers along with last years BMR "Budget Build"
Hope the continued family connection continues for many years to come. Life is a Ride

I grew up wrenching with my father. My legit earliest memory is walking around the garage in a diaper while he working on his Drag car, a 1984 Trans Am. I've been in the garage ever since. Working on my cars, my friends cars, but most of the time, just hanging out enjoying a laugh, a "few" beers, and story after story of my dad's crazy life. A big part of my "growing up" was spent covered in grease and oil, learning new has words everyday, sometimes even making up some new ones.
He passed away two years ago.
I've been building bikes for the past ten or so years. Cafè racers, chops, whatever I could get my hands on, I would tweak it to resemble my style. My father is the main inspiration for this build. Loud, mean, old school, and fast. I can't wait to show y'all the final product. This one's for you Pops.

I bought my first bike when I was 20, b/c my older cousin told me it wasn't a good idea for me to have a bike since I wasn't very good with my hands. That started my drug addiction like obsession with bikes, and more so...CHOPPERS. As we all know, if you want a chopper, you have to build your own bike. The problem with that is I can't weld, and have very minimal fabrication skills. So why the hell would I enter a chopper building contest...??? Because I can turn a wrench, and I can modify the crap out of old parts to make them fit where I need to. My plan for this build is to keep it simple, play to my strengths, and build a very simple chopper inspired by Flyrite Choppers. After all...what is the main idea behind a chopper...??? Strip everything off you don't need, and make it light weight and simple, so you can go fast. This is just a personal goal I have set for myself, and I have absolutely no intention of winning. I'm just building the bike I have dreamed of for the last 19 years.

Davey Mattei I'm 34 years old from plains, Pennsylvania, I got into bikes through my dad, once he got one I had to have one, I started riding dirt bikes when I was eleven and started racing at 12 all the way up until I was 29. I went to Mmi straight out of high school in 2000 and graduated as top tech in December of 2001. I've worked in Harley dealerships since 1999. But only a couple years ago did I really get into custom bikes that I did for myself. The bike I'm building is a mix of styles from some of my favorite builders and is primarily a nyc style bike with heavy influence from Indian Larry, Jeff Wright and many others and Hopefully it comes out like its pictured in my head.
